JANUARY UPDATE BRINGS NEW BLACKSMITH UNIT TO KRAFTON'S DEFENSE DERBY​​​​​​​

SANTA MONICA, CALIF. – Jan. 2, 2024 – The January update from RisingWings real-time PvP tower defense mobile game Defense Derby, published by KRAFTON, Inc., is now here with two new units, a free new hero, and the Radiant Start in-game season.

The two new units are the Blacksmith, who specializes in crowd control, and the Electric Monk, who specializes in area denial. There’s also a new hero named Lana, a powerful mage who protects her allies with shields. Blacksmith and Electric Monk will both have limited-time mirror match modes where players can learn how to play as and against the new units, and Lana will be given to all players to celebrate the 100-day anniversary of Defense Derby for free.

Here’s some additional information about the new characters:

New Hero: Lana

• Type: Magic

• Faction: Human

• Ability: Summon a shield at battle start

• Skill: Divine Judgement

  • Targets a monster with the highest maximum HP, and refunds part of the cooldown on takedown

• Acquisition methods: Granted as a free legendary card to all players on January 1

New Unit: Blacksmith

• Type: Physical

• Faction: Human

• Ability: Forge, enhance hero attack power and speed

• Specializes in taking down large groups of monsters and providing support with splash damage

• Acquisition methods: Shop of Blessings, Lucky Draw, Featured Summon, and Step Up Pack

• Limited time mode ‘Blacksmith Mirror Match’ will be available until January 11

New Unit: Electric Monk

• Type: Magic

• Faction: Beast

• Ability: Electric Blast, creates a magnetic field when critical hits are made, damaging enemies in the surrounding unit

• Limited time mode ‘Electric Monk Mirror Match’ will become available January 15 and end January 28
